The Basics Of Health

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. Health combines not only the physical but also mental health. The emotional and social well-being is also critical to achieving health. Body health requires physical fitness. A proper nutrition, proper diet and regular exercise followed by proper rest to recover physically are required for health. Physical health is influenced by the standard of living and the quality of life. Good health is also related to genetic make up. Mental health is related to the emotional well-being, nonexistence of mental disorder and the level of cognitive well-being. WHO defines mental health as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”. The status of mental health is subjective. The extent of preciseness of assessment will indicate the state of mental health of a person.

Nitric Oxide is derived naturally from fish, grains, poultry, meats and dairy products. The amino acid L-arginine in the food, when digested, passes through the stomach and enters the blood. It then reaches the endothelial cells that are found between the blood and lymph. L-arginine is broken down by enzymes in the endothelial cells to form Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide acts as a communicator with other cells in the body. Extreme fatigue and physical weakness results from a deficiency of Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide is also a vasodilator dilating the blood vessels making more blood to flow.
