Music has been my life ever since high school. So when I started college, I thought of establishing my own all-girl band, with me handling the lead vocals.

The police alerted all the residents of our county to secure our homes because seven inmates had escaped prison. That scared us a lot so we immediately ordered home security protection devices that we installed as soon as they arrived. We needed a sure family defense against possible attacks and break-ins.

They have just delivered the dresser that I ordered two days ago. Every accessory item I saw in their internet catalog was delivered together with the furniture. How convenient it is to transact business through the internet. The whole family is delighted for this easy way of buying things.

My job as an events coordinator calls for me to be away from home often. There are time that I can not be home for days on end. I figured that I needed to have a diversion can safe to keep my valuables safe.

We were at our balcony one evening, savoring the beauty of the night sky, when suddenly we heard some scuffle down the street right in front of our gate. That was our neighbor being robbed of her bag by a street thug from the other section of the neighborhood.

“Help me get rid of him!” cried the old lady. Some men got the hint and threw the thug out of the bus. We continued our journey while looking out for a patrol car to report the incident.

I at least had the logistics covered of safeguarding my family back when my children were small. They are just about my height these days and each one wants a different thing or other.

College can be considered as the most challenging phase in a student’s life. Any college student, including myself, thinks that we are not anymore the young kids who run to our moms and dads when someone makes us cry. Part of this independence is to learn how to defend ourselves when faced with trouble.

My estranged husband has it in his head that I was after his riches but loved someone else. While others have stun guns when they are out in the after hours or must retire to unsafe locales, he is the bane of my existence.
