After my wife passed away in 2005, my Rottweiler followed 3 years later. I am a retired pharmacist living in Frankfort, KY and it has been tough living alone without my dog Gunter to watch my house and keep me company.

I started working right around the time many people were getting laid off. Even though I was aiming at a stable 9 to 5 job, I settled for shifts. With the shaky economy, it seemed better than nothing.

There are a few different non-lethal self defense tools, two of which being stun guns and Tasers. Both of them use an electrical charge that is high voltage and low-amperage electricity to immobilize an attacker. This charge is released into their body so it temporarily leaves the attacker trying to figure out how to use their legs and arms. This is done through the electric charge that is sent through the attackers body that signals the brain and muscles not to respond for a short while. Even though they do close to the same thing there is a difference between stun guns and Tasers.

How does your teenager, assistant or babysitter behave when you are not around? How do people act around expensive equipment, prized possessions or confidential data once you turn around and leave?

Most people do not walk out of there house or work place anticipating trouble or that something bad will happen. Most of us come out of these places carrying around bags, suitcases and come out on nice clothes. We are also almost always tied up on our cell phones distracted by what is going on around us.

Our group was again reminded of the value of house security goods after one of us experienced a break-in and lost useful items as the outcome.

Our oldest son was enrolling in college at last was momentous for my wife and myself. I never had the same opportunity and my wife had hers interrupted. We put ourselves out in unstable careers to get to this point.

I and two school pals occupied one apartment in a duplex and a family resided within the other. A squabble began once the family’s college daughter claimed that 1 of us had taken her things. It was a petty quarrel that erupted into a full-blown feud. Quickly, the rest of this family were threatening us into leaving our home.
