In alkaline cooking, every ingredient or recipe prepared for a particular meal has alkaline content in it. The goal of alkaline cooking is to normalize the body’s acid and alkaline content and further give numerous health benefits.

Sunflower oil, corn oil, vegetable oil, margarine and saturated fats are just some of the oils that contain high levels of acid. Deep fried vegetables lose its nutritive value because of too much heat or the nutrients may be transferred to the oil.
To cook food without losing all the nutrients in it is through a low fire; this maintains the alkaline content of the food and prevents it from changing the food chemically. The different ways which this can be done is through boiling, crock pot, simmering and steaming. This cooking method is recommended for a vegetable diet program.
It’s okay to be careful with the food that we consume but we should also be careful about how these foods are prepared and processed in the cooking method that we use so that all of the nutrients are still intact and that chemical imbalance of the body is prevented.
