Are you looking for a lean, sexy body? Frustrated with fat? Here are 5 simple rules to help you lose the fat and build the muscle.
1-Lose the fat slowly and consistently. About 2 pounds a week at the most. I know you’re in a ‘hurry’ to fit into that new dress, or look good at the pool on vacation, but as always slow and steady wins the race and keeps you looking great in the long haul.
2-Be sure to eat 5 – 6 small meals all day long. You can stop the cravings for junk, i.e. chips, bagels, cookies, etc and remain satisfied all day.
3-DO NOT skip a meal. You will lose muscle and this is what we want to keep and build.
4-Drink plenty of water. Haven’t’ you heard that before? Still true– because having enough water helps you keep muscle. That’s our goal, remember?
5-Always eat some form of protein at every meal or snack. This is the real ‘secret’ to keeping muscle and building more muscle. Shhh, don’t tell those you want to compete with.
No pill can make you lean. Don’t be taken in with any quick fix promises, even if they sound good. Swallowing a pill will not create washboard abs. You are smart enough to know this.
Best Tools to Achieve Your Goals
Good Nutrition–The Only Way To Success
* Eat a balance of whole, natural healthy foods
* Breakfast is a must. Eat healthy foods, no bagels or donuts or sugar or empty carbs
* Avoid processed foods, most importantly processed sugar
* Eat fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. Local farmers markets are the best place to shop when you can.
* You know this one–drink plenty of fresh, filtered water.
* Eat healthy snacks that include protein e.g. cheese sticks, yogurt, nuts
* Eliminate margarine, eat butter.
* Focus on whole grains, bread and pasta. Sprouted breads are especially good because they contain protein
* Meals should be colorful and varied. Do not eat the same thing every day, you’ll get bored and crash your plan. Include as many colors as possible. Orange=carrots, purple=cabbage, green=brussel sprouts, yellow=squash, red=beets, blue=blueberries, white=cauliflower. You get the idea.
This transformation of fat into lean muscle requires commitment and dedication on your part. Set an achievable goal for yourself and start today.
