1. Don’t take stress home. Just like when at work we usually focus on work related issues, we can focus on other things then work issues once we go home. Now, since stress arises from thoughts you have about your circumstances, giving things their rightful time and space can help you manage stress a long way.
2 – Nourish your relationships with honest and clear communication. Staying away from misinterpretations by kindness assists reduce stress. Give place to appreciation even if you had a hard day.
3 – Everything in moderation. The last thing a family under stress needs is to increase their stress through imbalance. This is most evident with alcohol, but alcohol is not the only excess that can bring the family stress. Overspending by one party can lead to financial stress; attention seeking by one party can lead to emotional stress. Keep a balance.
4 – Healthy options should be considered. Take walks, with your partner if possible. Talk or chat lightly. There’s no need to take huge hikes, a few kilometers a day can give you a chance to get fresh air, some exercise and some quality bonding time. Where possible leave cell phones behind – quality time with a partner should be with that partner alone, not with whoever happens to call.

6 – Open up for making more mutual decisions. Taking decisions on your own just elevate stress. Making decisions together leads to a better relationship environment gives the other party a sense of appreciation, and even can provide you with critical information you would not otherwise have for a better decision making.
7 – Encourage successes while also embrace failures. Life is richer then our imagination. Being prepared only for some options may raise stress. More than that, when the other party in the relationship knows you are prepared for all options, it not only strengthen the bond but also lowers stress.
8 – Enjoy very moment in life. Being distracted and preoccupied doing another thing will not give you the ability to be present and enjoy the time with your family. Making money for the future is important as long as it doesn’t come as a substitute for present relationships.
