Yeast infections are a common health concern for women all over the world. The only reason that women suffer from these is that they don’t understand what a yeast infection is or how they can treat it at home. Here is a list of my six favorite ways to treat these infections that are quick and inexpensive:
Any kind of non-breathable or, overly tight clothing needs to be avoided any time that you have an infection but really it should be avoided all of the time as this can encourage yeast growth.
Its best to stay away from refined sugar as well. Eating anything with sugar- drinks, cakes and chocolates will all make your outbreak much, much worse.
Mushrooms shouldn’t be eaten either if you have an infection as your body will have trouble fighting off the mushroom spores in addition to the bacteria from the yeast infection.
Yogurt that is unsweetened and organic is a fantastic treatment option as it has 2 uses. The first is relatively simple as all you need to do is eat it large quantities and that should help to restore the natural balance of yeast in the vagina. The other way is to put some on a tampon and insert it into the vagina for a few minutes.
Garlic- we love garlic because it has almost the same uses as yogurt. You can eat a lot more than you normally would or you have the option of crushing the garlic into a paste and rubbing it into the area that is causing the most trouble.
Water is also something that you will want to consider. By just drinking lots of water you will be flushing out not only yeast but also many other toxins that have built up in your system and will help to clear your skin as well. You need to drink at least 8 glasses of water that are at least 8 oz each. If you have never been to a doctor or been seen for a yeast infection at all you really should see a physician prior to beginning any natural treatment plan. There are many illnesses that have very similar or virtually the same symptoms as a yeast infection does if they are left untreated you many become seriously ill.
