Slowly cook onions – Onions have a very pungent smell and overpowering taste which is why they sometimes are placed off to the side. However, by slow cooking onions it is easy to drastically cut out the scent as well as add a little sweet flavor to them.

Dip’em – Fresh veggies make the perfect snack and are even healthier if you are replacing prepackaged snacks such as potato chips and crackers with these. Just dip the veggies in hummus or a little of your favorite veggie dip or low fat salad dressing. Remember, never go overboard and drown your veggies in calorie and fat dense dips.
