How do you get a yeast infection? All women have yeast that is naturally found inside of the vagina, yeast infections however, can occur when that yeast begins to grow too quickly and over abundantly. Over the years women have used several methods to treat these infections. Sometimes they have used medications that were prescription, over the counter creams and all natural treatments as well.
Life style changes: simple life style changes can make a world of difference when it comes to preventing infections. Things that should ultimately be avoided are staying in your wet bathing suit for too long, wearing tight clothes and wearing undergarments that are made of non breathable material.
Dietary changes: I was shocked to find out that what we eat has a direct influence on yeast infections! If you eat foods that have sugar, fungus or even yeast in them you are actually feeding your yeast infection and making them worse. You shouldn’t eat them when you have an infection.
Cranberry juice- is simple to use, drinking a glass everyday is a way that you can help prevent these infections.
Garlic- is fantastic as it’s very inexpensive and it works well in either of the ways that it can be used. If you eat it, it could be cooked or raw. Otherwise you could always crush it and apply it to the area that hurts.
Yogurt- this is another favorite of mine as again it’s easy to use. Just take a tampon and dip it into some plain organic yogurt that is sugar free and place it into your vagina for a few minutes. You also have the option of eating it in large amounts or even applying it to the skin around the infection.
Finally and by far the most relaxing way to handle your infections is just to pour a cup or two of apple cider vinegar into a nice warm bath. You can literally soak away your infection.
You should always go to your doctor if you suspect that you might have a yeast infection. This is especially true if you have never seen a doctor for one before. Don’t forget to mention that you would like to try a natural cure to them.
