Yeah! I went down a pound…even though I had a sugar cookie breakdown last night (don’t ask). When I weighed myself this morning I was at 161 lbs. So I’m losing again…and that’s so good!
I cannot wait to see my final weight loss total. I hope I continue to stay around the one pound per day average weight loss. Not that I’d protest if I started losing more like 2 pounds per day. That would be utterly fabulous! My HCG diet buddy, Lisa, is bugged because she’s only lost a few pounds.
I told Lisa that I bet it’s because she doesn’t drink enough water. Before we started this diet I swear I’d never seen her drink water. But she does love hot drinks so she’s been able to get attached to the herbal tea. That’s a good thing, but it’s not the same as having water. She’s going to use the pitcher method: fill a pitcher up in the morning with how much water you should drink throughout the day and then see if you empty it by the end of the day.
I’m thinking about increasing my water amount, too. I decided it could help. The last few days I’ve seen a slow down in weight loss. One of the plateau breakers listed in the HCG weight loss cure guide a supplemental guide to Dr Simeons HCG protocol is to increase the water amount (2 to 3 quarts per day). It also says you can add a cup of green tea to your daily routine.
I may or may not try Green Tea again. The last time I tried it…I definitely did not like it. I’d go so far as to say that it’s horrible. But I could probably stomach it daily if it made me lose weight faster. Anyway, I gave myself the HCG injection this morning…as is required by the prescription HCG protocol.
I took my B-Total Sublingual first thing in the morning. I tried Red Zinger herbal tea again in the morning. It was alright. I wish I could love it, but I don’t. If I could put honey in it I’d like it much more, but that’s wishful thinking.
I had turkey and tomato soup leftovers at lunch. I ate it with Melba Toasts, the original flavor. They’re fantastic for dipping. I sliced up an apple and squeezed lemon over the top of it for my side dish and to fulfill my fruit serving requirement. I also took meat out of the freezer to defrost for my dinner. I’m learning here…last time I didn’t defrost.
I grilled chicken for dinner (with the yummy Creole seasoning). Last time I did it I cooked the meat frozen and this time I defrosted first. Defrosting first is better; just in case you like to test the limits like I do. Planning ahead actually does have its benefits. I also made some steamed cabbage and Melbas to go with the chicken. It was a pretty good dinner all around; basic, but filling.
Lisa called and said that she didn’t come even close to finishing the pitcher of water she filled this morning. So that must be the problem. She’s not getting enough water. She’s going to try guzzling all of it in the next hour before bedtime. I wasn’t sure that was the best idea. But she insisted so we’ll see how that goes.
But I did agree to help her try to drink a ton more water tomorrow and from now on. I’m going to keep trying to focus on that, too. It seems like one of the most common mistakes people make on the diet. The water bottle idea works well for me; I’ll have to tell her to try it. I keep them everywhere. There’s one in my purse, in my car, on my desk, on my nightstand, …everywhere! And it really helps me get all my water in throughout the day.
