You can either just bear the fact that they somehow breathe the same air as you do – or you can change things up. Instead of making it worse with snide remarks and a glowering look, you could try being cheerful and start looking at the bright side of whoever you don’t like.
Just focus on anything positive about it and try to give it a smile. It will disarm them due in large part to the fact that they won’t see it coming. If you’re lucky, it’ll also force them to look at the good in you.
Sure, you’ll want an award after but you have to remember that they’re not villains in any way. You might be surprised at what you find when you dig past the surface.
Make yourself the exception to the rule – it’s easy to dislike Peter if he’s arrogant and kind of abrasive, but you can push past it and do something no one else usually does – try to like him.
Mark’s just bossy because he wants to get the job done and he’s extremely hands on. He’s kind of in your face because he wants it to be perfect.
You understand him because you get that too. You understand how someone can become bitter because it could have just as easily been you – suddenly, Martin is sympathetic rather than irritating. Fighting with people solves nothing – understanding them changes everything. Just calm yourself down and remember that they’re people too.
