Weight loss is talked about by a lot of people, with people saying they are “fat” and MUST lose weight when they are only carrying a few extra pounds, while some are medically told they have to lose weight for their long term health. Why they want to lose weight can vary, but the techniques used to do so stay the same. Some of this is dependent on why the weight has been put on, whether it is genetic, down to lack of activity or over-indulgence.
Exercise is the most common and obvious way of increasing activity. There are different ways of this being done – from running to going to the gym to playing a sport. Going to the gym just three times a week can make you lose weight. You also feel way better after exercising and actually feel encouraged to eat more healthily too.
Another way of losing weight but without the help of others is through your eating habits. This does not mean to say dieting, where you eat like a rabbit for a few weeks but it’s about eating the CORRECT foods rather than less food. It takes dedication, research and discipline but it can have a great effect.
Some people hire personal trainers to help them get in shape, and while this can be quite expensive it may be worth it in the long run when you see the results. It is not just training in the gym but help with your diet, which can be more important. But during the exercise you will have someone there to motivate you, which can make all the difference.
There is one other option if you can’t afford personal training, or if the above does not work due to your cravings for nice food, and that is NLP, or Neuro Linguistic Programming. This will get to the bottom of the REASONS why you crave this food. You will be taught that it is a learned behaviour, and that you are able to overcome it. Your mind will be literally “reprogrammed” so that you no longer crave certain foods. It is actually as simple as that, and it really does not take long at all to get to the bottom of your behaviours and fix them.
If you use NLP then you could look at some NLP Practitioner training to practice it yourself. There are many NLP courses in London available to do this
