I Want To Try Turbo Fire, But How Does It Work?
TurboFire is a unique exercise program that was designed to make working out more fun as well as make eating healthier easier. It was designed by Chalene Johnson, who has created a number of successful workout programs including: ChaLEAN Extreme and Turbo Jam. The overall goal was to make a higher level fitness program that is easy to follow. Here is a closer look at what TurboFire is all about.
Turbo Fire’s Foundation
Turbo Fire is formed around High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT as it is commonly called. A study was made early in the 1990’s that determined that short and intense workout intervals burn fat 9 times faster than typical aerobic workouts. There are two downsides to HIIT which have slowed its acceptance into traditional workouts. The first “problem” is that HIIT training is very difficult. The second is that its effectiveness is best seen in small bursts rather than the average prolonged periods of exercise. This new spin on exercise through non-traditional workouts has helped this new program to quickly become accepted within the extreme workout community.
The Reason For HIITs Effectiveness?
There have been a number of studies on HIIT since the first was completed in the early 1990’s. A study in 2001 reported that HIIT training will increase the RMR or Resting Metabolic Rate for up to 24 hours following the workout. This happens because of excess oxygen consumption that happens post-exercise, which explains why short burst workouts create long lasting effects on body composition. Because of this, this result is also known as the “AfterBurn Effect”.
What Is the Problem?
The major issue with the “Afterburn Effect” is that the extreme training can break down the body relatively quickly which means that you cannot perform a sustained workout for very long. Several studies have focused their attention on this problem and they have found that individuals will typically start to plateau somewhere around the third week. If a workout is to address this problem, it must combine HIIT training with other non-HIIT exercises, so that the body has a chance to recover.
The Solution Is Turbo Fire
Turbo Fire approaches exercise in a way that is very similar to P90X. Both of these programs use an exercise technique known as periodization training to help you achieve the best possible results. While P90X and Turbo Fire share this technique, they are still very different programs. Turbo Fire is the combination of the Philosophies from Chalene’s ChaLEAN Extreme and Turbo Jam workouts, and it is designed to give your body its maximum possible gain during your HIIT
There are a few “graduate level” workout programs such as Insanity and P90X that you can choose if you would rather have something even more intense. You should be aware that you will want to take a P90X or Insanity “Fitness Test” to determine if you can handle the corresponding programs. Turbo Fire was made so that almost anyone could participate without any preparation. If you are worried about following a beat than you should know that Chalene has simplified the movements so that people with two left feet could even join in the workout.
The p90x is a home fitness program that you will surely be interested in. You won’t have a good workout, unless you have a p90x workout.
