My Quest To Be On Reality Television

I got hooked on reality competition shows a long time ago. Nothing can make my night any better than one of my favorite shows being on. It usually does not matter what the show is, I like a lot of them. For a few years one of my favorites has been The Biggest Loser. For some reason I keep tuning in and it is hard to pinpoint exactly why, I can name some of the things that draw me to it.

My first guess is that I can relate to the show. I am overweight. I would not consider myself to be dangerously obese like some of the people on the show, although some weight loss would benefit me. As I get older I know I have to do something. I have been inspired by what the contestants have been able to accomplish. I do not want to be faced with the problems that come with the excess fat on the body. I do not want to put my health at risk because of my lifestyle, but I also did not want to go find a way to learn how to lose weight fast if there was something better that I could do, and the things that I saw on the Biggest Loser looked like a healthier way for me to get into shape, but the problem I faced was actually doing what I was supposed to do.

I also enjoy learning about the contestants. These people on the show seemed like everyday people. They are not able to get to a healthy shape. They had regular jobs and families just like me. Maybe, I thought, I could be a contestant. I went as far as going online to the shows website. I checked out the whole process and what was involved. I did not follow through. In the end, I knew I was not overweight enough to be considered for the show. I had a problem, but I would have to fix it myself.

That was when I decided that I would be my own Biggest Loser. One night after watching a bunch of television I decided to find a way to get my body into the shape it was supposed to be in and I knew that the answer was not in the infomercial that was airing that promised to help a person find a way how to lose weight fast at home in a week, but rather would require me to make the effort to eat right and exercise regularly if I was to really get into shape. I began to look into methods t=for me to get into the shape that I wanted.

I went to the bookstore and found some reference materials to help guide me through my journey. And like I heard many times, I checked with a physician to see what they had to say. I also had to figure out how to get some physical activity. I did not know how to exercise. Fortunately there were plenty of fitness clubs in my area to guide me. By turning to the help at a gym, I was able to find a program that would work for me and would allow me to get healthy in a reasonable amount of time if I did the work.

After figuring out what I had to do, there was no stopping me. The weight did not come off as quickly as it did for the contestant on the show. I was getting healthier though. One pound at a time I was getting into shape. The food I was eating was helping me feel better. My physical activity became less of a chore and more of something I was looking forward to. Along the way not everything went according to plan. But I would not give up just because of a misstep. It made me the Biggest Winner.
