Whether or not you are a teen or an adult, blackheads could be a incontrovertible fact. I have had them since I hit adolescence and I’m still dealing with them even though I’m virtually forty! Blackheads are pores that became blocked with dead cells and toughened excessive oil. They stem from overactive sebaceous glands. Working on getting rid of them can be the bane of your existence. While there are many chemical remedies available to the discerning consumer looking for a fast fix, I have chosen to treat mine in a more natural fashion.
These are some natural remedies for preventing and treating blackheads.
Prevention
Obviously if you can stop blackheads in the first place, this is the best course of action. Also, if you’re able to get shot of your blackheads, this treatment will work to help keep from getting anymore.
To stop getting blackheads mix one teaspoonful of fresh lime juice with one teaspoonful of peanut oil. Then apply this mix to your face. You can buy both peanut oil and lime juice from any grocery store.
Another natural preventative for blackheads is to make a paste of fresh fenugreek leaves. You apply the blend to your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before washing it off with warm water and a clean fabric. Fenugreek or methi leaves are an Indian spice. It’s possible you will have to go to an international food store to find fresh fenugreek leaves.
Cleaners
Be scrupulous about keeping your face clean. Wash your face at least two times a day, once in the morning and once at night. A good way to clean your face that’s gentle, natural and will draw the impurities out of your skin is honey mixed with a clay mask.
Another cleanser you can make from home is one where you mixture of a cup of hot water, 1 little spoon of Epsom salts, and 4 drops of iodine. Dip a cotton ball in the mix and apply it to your blackheads. When the mixture has dried on your skin carefully wipe it off with a clean fabric.
To get rid of blackheads you can make a face wash by mixing fresh lime juice with a pitcher of boiled milk. Applying this face wash will actually remove blackheads.
These are only a few of the natural home remedies that you can make at home with very standard ingredients to stop, and treat blackheads. Choose whichever one is simplest to prepare and use and good luck on getting rid of those blackheads!
