Moisturizing lotion is used to supply relief for dry, itchy hands. As with lotions many different types of skin exist as well. For this reason many different versions of lotions are offered ranging from non-fragrance to lightweight moisturizers.

Cold cream was invented between 129 and 200 AD. It originally consisted of wax, herbs, and flowers. Since then it has advanced but still leaves a cool feel on the skin after application.

Day lotions have additional protection properties that work with sun screen. Most versions have added SPF ingredients to help with skin protection. Daytime lotions are also applicable in nighttime situations if a non-SPF type is used.
