One of the most common ways to measure one’s fitness level will be checking their resting pulse rate or some may call it average heart rate.
Generally resting heart rate is a measurement of the quantity of your heart beats each minute or BPM while you’re in the resting state. The normal resting heartbeat rate is typically around 70 bpm.
Typically, sports athletes and people who do sports activities or exercise regularly will have a lower average heart beat, as their hearts can perform really efficiently.
If your average heart beat rate is above 80 bpm, then your heart is probably working way too hard therefore you may not be in a very good condition.
And so, here are some tips to make sure that your average heart beat rate is low:
1. Exercise Regularly
This might be the most important factor as to why your heart is probably not working efficiently. Heart is like a muscle, you need to train it often. The more you train your heart, the heathier and stronger it’ll be. Any cardiovascular exercise such as running, aerobic exercises, bicycling, leaping is perfect for your heart.
2. Drink More Water
In other words, avoid dehydration. Water helps a person’s blood flow and circulate throughout your body so be sure to drink plenty of water during the day, particularly if you live in a very hot environment.
3. Get Sufficient Sleep
Be sure you get plenty of sleep. At least eight hours of sleep every day. Sleep is an integral part of your health. Lots of people experience medical problems because of lack of sleep.
4. Take it easy
A lot of people are afflicted by anxiety and stress in the world we are living today which just isn’t good for your heart. Please take a couple of minutes rest from anything you are doing and relax your self. Do it regularly if you’d like to keep the resting heart rate normal. Get a therapeutic massage every so often when you have to.
