Migraine is a chronic disease which affects the nerves in the brain due to poor blood circulation. Generally there is a pulsating stabbing pain on one side of head accompanied sometimes with nausea and vomiting.

The last phase is called the postdrome in which the patient feels drained ,tired and exhausted.

Those who have family history are prone to migraine if it is in the family genes. It affects more women than men. It is believed that low levels of a brain chemical called serotonin may be the underlying cause of migraine.
