Limiting belief systems are a major culprit in keeping us from achieving the goals and successes we want in life, including natural weight loss. Limiting beliefs are often projections from others on what we can or can’t achieve in our life, and we end up ‘buying into it’ and believing it. This could be anything from ‘losing weight is too hard’ to ‘you shouldn’t want to do it that way because it’s too hard’ and so on. So it’s very important to be mindful of your own belief systems as well as others’ projections of life that may be impacting you in a negative way. First, setting goals is important because if will give you a focal point of where you want to get to, but it’s important the goals you set are realistic goals. If you make the goals unrealistic, then you’re setting yourself up for failure and more limiting beliefs because you may opt to be hard on yourself for not achieving the goals you set. Now, we’re not suggesting you make your goals too easy, but be honest with yourself and set goals that feel good to you based on your weight loss goals. How much exercise do you need per week?

What type of foods should you eat each day? Will you weigh yourself daily? And once you achieve your goals, how will you reward yourself?

Again, set achievable goals to keep you motivated and excited on your weight loss journey. The more positive you are, the faster you’ll switch off your limiting beliefs to lose weight easier!

Using positive affirmations to aid in achieving your weight loss goals.

It’s been shown that positive energy and negative energy do impact our lives. And if you really look around and observe, you’ll notice that those who put out positive energy tend to have the lives they want to live, and those who put out a lot of negativity end up getting more negativity around them.

So, this means it’s important to be mindful and eliminate negativity from your life. One great tool to do this is utilizing positive affirmations you write down and say on a regular basis with positive energy and emotion. The more emotional you are when you say the affirmation, the faster you’ll bring about the results you want on your weight loss journey.

Some examples of affirmations for weight loss include:

* I am slender and happy with my weight loss!
* I have lost 20 pounds!
* I am worthy of love and happiness!
* I am worthy of achieving my weight loss goals!

You want to find an affirmation (or affirmations) that feel good to you and post them in your car, on your mirror or anywhere that will serve as a reminder for you to repeat it to yourself on a regular basis. And if you’re having a bad moment or day, start saying the affirmation to yourself, and you’ll be surprised at how quickly you can feel better, which means an easier time in meeting your weight loss goals!
