Check The Labels On JuiceBeverages Before You Think About Buying Them

I’m sure you must all be as fed up as I am of buying a drink that claims to be juice and on opening it, find out that its some strange colored impostor.

If I’m out and about and really want a refreshing juice drink, I look for the label or the front of the carton, we all do. A bowl of juicy apples makes us believe we are buying a box of healthy apple juice, after all, everything made from fruit is good for us, isn’t it?

Sadly this very often isn’t the case. The drinks packaging is so misleading that the pure juice you think you are drinking is anything but.

There may be a small proportion of fruit juice in these drinks, but when you check the small print of the label, you will be lucky to find that even reaches 50%.

So what makes up the difference? Well I’ll tell you, all manner of sweeteners, preservatives and other fancy names ingredients which they feel the need to add. There are multiple names for sweeteners, I bet you have no problem is spotting Fructose, Syrup and Sucrose on the label. These all add up to one thing; far too much sugar.

A frightening fact that recently came to my attention is that due to the overload of sugar in these products, they are, nutritionally, even behind soda. So drinking soda is actually better for us than these drinks, and the irony lies in the fact that we have probably given up soda in favor of these so called healthier options!

Sadly, so many people have yet to finds out the truth about these drinks, or are choosing to turn a blind eye to it. It’s the ones who are drinking them because they think they will help them to lose weight who really need educating. They are making their battle for fitness even harder for themselves.

The best thing you can do is check the label for he exact wording and the juice percentage. Check for terms such as ‘juice drink’ or ‘blended juices’ etc. If you want pure juice with all the benefits it brings, only buy a product that is 100% pure juice.
