Some Of The Soda Pop Myths Are Cleared Here

Cola is among the most famous drinks on the planet.

It tastes fantastic and it’s also very refreshing.

Thats why there are many of us around the globe who love it.

Remember that it is around for a long time too, so long in fact that it’s been the topic of many rumors, urban legends and myths.

Even though some of the myths are believable, others are completely jokes.

I myself am one of several “cola lovers”, that’s why I’ll attempt to clear some of these up here in this article.

Myth 1 – “Cola contains Cochineal, a bug dye” – This is a weird one.

You probably already knew that.

Cochineal is a natural food dye made from a very small bug! Yuk, I know… it’s not in your cola thank heavens.

Myth 2 – “Cola is very acidic, so if you left a penny or a bit of meat in it, it will dissolve overnight” – A lot of people believe that this myth is true, it just sounds possible.

There is a story about a fly that gets into a cup of cola and that in the other day it was dissolved. This is not true.

Cola can eat away at organic materials including teeth, but it will never happen overnight.

Look for example at the healthy orange juice. Since this one is also very acidic, it would take about the same time as cola to dissolve a material.

Myth 3 – “Aluminum from Cola cans contributes to Alzheimer’s disease” – also credible, and also false.

Some studies where made, and it was never confirmed that aluminum might lead to Alzheimer disease.

Nevertheless cola has think in that and all cola cans are lacquered on the inside to prevent any contact between your aluminum and the drink.

There are a few other myths, but these are the ones that should be cleared. You can now drink your cola with no worries.
