For years when it comes to aging mostly women have been concerned about their looks. It seems to me a recent phenomenon for men to be not just concerned but overly concerned about their looks. I guess to some degree it’s a good thing. Women no longer have to put up with the Macho look and men no longer feel the need to carry around a comb with them to keep fixing their “do” all the time.
When I was young the every boy had an Elvis hair do, grease and all. If your old enough just put that mental picture in your mind and compare it to how they look today.
The market for male products increase on a daily basis. The options for men is now almost as many as for women. Even more surprising the the prices being paid for these products.
Do you remember what your father used. I do! It was Old Spice and it’s back.
There was a day when boys were dying to be able to shave because then they were Men! And you would never admit that you barely had enough to use an electric shaver let alone a single or twin blade razor. With choices available today, even baby hair can be made to look like art work, and while I don’t see many advertised I’m sure the electric shaver is helping.
With all the options available it is hard to tell what is part of natural aging and what is not. Either way though the cost to maintain your looks and how you age can be expensive. It has been shown as well that some of the options chosen by both men and women have had some negative effects on their bodies. The concern is that men and women are seeking body and performance enhancing products and procedures at much younger ages, some as early as fourteen. None of these options are cheap. If you are in the entertainment business it seem the need for these products encourages manufactures to make and charge more. Perhaps that is why young stars seek higher and higher payment for their appearance because the need to keep up their appearance, thereby making it more costly for all.
So its doesn’t matter what your age or your income, aging and your wealth go hand in hand.
