Am I Experiencing Panic Attacks Symptoms

Panic Attacks Symptoms appear in many different forms. These are specific to each individual person and so, what symptoms appear in others, may not always appear in you. One of the reasons for this is that every person is different and their bodies show symptoms of stress differently.

Panic attacks usually occur when a person is in a perceived danger. The danger is perceived because, often, there is no real danger there. For some reason or other, the mind sends signals to the body that it is in danger and the body responds.

The mind tells the body that it is afraid and that there is a danger that could harm the person in question. Even though this is not real, the body responds accordingly and the symptoms of a panic attack become evident.

This is one of the reasons that make these attacks so scary. Often people feel as if they are dying or about to die and so they become even more fearful of having another attack. People who have experienced them fear they will have another and so avoid public places or travel.

Chest pain is a common symptom. It could be mild chest pain or have the person feel as if they are having a heart attack. As the pain increases, so does the fear and it begins a spiral that has the person believing he or she is about to die.

Having trouble breathing or the fear that the chest is closing up is another sign and may lead the person to think he or she cannot breathe and may die as a result. This is very scary and only leads the body to increase the symptoms of distress.

Rashes and red blotching on the skin is another symptom and may feel uncomfortable and even painful to the person experiencing them. They may itch or burn but the symptoms are different for everyone.

Nausea, light headedness and dizziness are also symptoms of this problem and they can appear as mild or strong enough to leave a person unable to function properly for a while. Muscle pain and shakiness are also symptoms.

Whether or not the symptoms are strong enough for you to seek hospital attention, they are always uncomfortable enough to imbed a fear that they might occur again. Seeking professional advice may help rid you of these attacks and help you lead a normal life without irrational fear.
