Most adults have to have their daily intake of caffeine every morning just to get them kick started. Caffeine can be in the coffee we drink or the Red Bull, Coke or quite a few other things that we take for granted.
Our central nervous system is directly affected by caffeine that we take. This is because caffeine can work similar to many other drugs such as cocaine. Not many people know that caffeine is actually classed as a psychoactive drug.
There are many things in caffeine that people are not aware of. For example caffeine is great just before a workout as it can produce adrenaline which makes you feel more alert and stronger, which in turn helps ease the pain of the workout.
Caffeine has also been recognized as a pain killer. Many of the popular day to day pain killers available today have a certain amount of caffeine within them.
Such is the affect of caffeine on our central nervous system that it can actually make our brain believe that we need caffeine therefore becoming addicted to this drug.
That explains why when people do not get their daily fix of caffeine in the morning they tend to walk around as though they do not know what day it is.
It is thought that caffeine can be as addictive as hard drugs such as cocaine. If you regularly partake of caffeine products it is though that you could in fact become addicted within about 3 days which is something to think about.
Another issue with caffeine drinks such as coffee is that if you do drink a lot of coffee each day it can also impact on your weight. This is because every time you drink coffee it can often be with milk or cream and sugar and all of these are calories that you do not really need. If you do drink lots of coffee you could try to have it black and with sweeteners.
