Are Your Hormones Limiting Your Progress?

Hormones are the most powerful substances in your body. In fact, you could argue that they have the biggest impact on your fat loss efforts.

Thus, without further ado, here is how to maximize your hormone production:

1. Feel good hormones: In the medical community they are referred to as beta endorphins. And the best way to increase their production is by increase the total amount of exercise you do per workout while simultaneously decreasing rest periods.

2. The fountain of youth: There is a reason why so many celebrities take growth hormone, because it works. And although I don’t recommend taking synthetic growth hormone, you should try to maximize your natural levels. One great strategy to do this is to exercise in the ten repetition range.

3. Stress hormones: Stress hormones are bad for you only when they are produced in excess. Otherwise, they can greatly enhance your levels of energy, especially when you exercise. One great way to increase their concentration before exercise is to have a “psyching up” period.

4. Cortisol: Again, in excess, this hormone wreaks havoc on your body. But in small amounts it does have important roles. The key here is to not have chronically elevated levels of cortisol. The best way to keep it in check is by having a regular routine you follow day in and day out.

5. The muscle hormone: Testosterone is for everybody, literally. You see, both men and women have it in their bodies. And both sexes need it to maximize fat burning while simultaneously maximizing metabolic rate. Now one powerful strategy to increase testosterone in your body is by getting lots of healthy fat in your body.

6. The carbohydrate hormone: Carbohydrates are processed in your body by insulin. And a great way to make sure carbs get shuffled to non-fat cells is by keeping insulin levels as low as possible. Now a great strategy to accomplish this is having vegetables with every single one of your meals.

Optimizing your hormones is the best thing you can do to maximize your fat loss. Not only do hormones affect your quality of life, but they have a strong impact on how much fat you can lose.
