Are You Performing All these Exercises Effectively?

So many individuals think “hey, working out is easy, I know the right way to do that stuff.” Most folks are pretty sure that they already know how to do things like squats, thrusts, lunges, running, etc. The real truth is that there are a lot of very common exercises that people don’t do correctly. When you don’t do your physical exercises right, you keep your weight and never find the good results that you want. It’s not that hard to get upset when you feel like you’re working hard but not a single thing happening-especially if you find out that the things you are doing aren’t being done correctly. Here are several very common work outs mistakes people make and how you can keep from making them yourself.

Squats are fantastic work outs to do in order to make your glutes and legs firmer. But are you finishing them the right way? Most folks assume that the work of a squat is conducted with your knees. If you lead using your knees, however, you can grind your joints together and not make the muscles in your hamstrings and glutes-the exact same muscles that you are trying to tone. Instead, as you bend your knees, you need to push your hips back. This can help you squat down low enough for you to work your muscles while protecting against the grinding of your joints.

If you’ve seen the episode of Friends where Nobody’s Ready, you understand what a lunge is (Joey does one while wearing all of Chandler’s clothes). Lunges look pretty uncomplicated. Just step forward and lower your body as you bend your knee. Doesn’t it seem easy enough to perform? The simple fact is that most people do not keep their calves in the right position and their knees end up jutting out over their feet. You have to keep the calf straight so that it forms a ninety degree angle with your thigh. To figure out the proper form for your front let just let your back knee bend down all the way to the floor.

Pushups are likely probably the most taken for granted exercises there is. Most men and women let their hips sink a little whenever they do push ups. Or, in an attempt to help it become better on them, they place their hands too far apart on the floor. They simply lower themselves a little bit. Your entire body should preferably get worked while you do a push up. If you never do the push up correctly your arms, shoulders along with elbows get strained. The proper way to start a push up is to assume the pilates “plank” pose. Lower your whole body right down to the floor after you feel all of your muscles start to burn. As you raise and lower your body, keep the entire body in a straight line. The training is just not as good if you let your body curve even a little bit.

The real truth is that we all take the simple exercises for granted. This ensures that you aren’t doing them correctly and that shows that your workout isn’t as effective as you’d like it to be. To truly see results and lose weight, you need to ensure that everything you do is done correctly.
