Atkins Phase 1 : How To Follow It Right.

To start your Atkins diet weight loss program, you need to understand the importance of the Induction phase (also known as the Phase 1). Along with the food list that you can eat, severals rules need to be followed to the letter throughout your program.

During this phase, you’ll need to absorb three to five small meals per day. In the case your body is hungry for more, you could plan ahead and include smaller meal portions. To push away carbohydrate needs, you will continuously feed your body with the proteins and vegetables. Be careful to not jump a meal and don’t go above 6 hours lacking of food.

Don’t refrain yourself from eating anything on your acceptable list food. Don’t be afraid of fats or proteins intake, in fact eat as much as you wish. As you know this diet is not a calorie-restricted. But you do need to pay attention of your carbohydrate level. Whenever you eat vegetable, cheese and drinks containing Splenda write down the grams intake. Keep in mind that 12 to 15 grams is coming from your vegetables. Try to balance your carbohydrate level by eating both cheese and vegetables. Vegetables are great for helping your digestion.

In this phase, try to not eat vegetable like cauliflower or squash, pasta,fruit,grain and bread. Later on we will introduce these food in later phases. (pre-maintenance phase) If you are craving bean, know that they also contain carbohydrate and should be avoided. Keep your diet to a high fiber low-carbohydrate. Also eating grains products will slow losing weight.

If it’s not on the acceptable list is will not be in your stomach, simple. Keep away the temptation of tasting a “bite”, as it will lead you to eat the whole thing ! Then all your efforts will be for none.

Remember to adjust the quantity of acceptable foods to suit your appetite. At the beginning of the Induction phase, you may find yourself eating much, much more than you will toward the end of the phase. As your body breaks its addiction to sugar and carbohydrates, you will be less hungry throughout the day. When this starts to happen, make sure to eat only what you need. Eat until you are satisfied and not overly stuffed.

Always read the labels of packaged products, even if they claim they are “carb free.” You may find that some products have hidden carbohydrates. The law allows manufacturers to round off to zero if a product has fewer than .5 grams of carbohydrates. Look at the list of ingredients for manufactured products to determine if there are hidden carbs. You’ll also need to watch out for hidden carbohydrates when you eat out. There are small carbohydrate amounts in gravies, sauces and salad dressings. The best bet is to eat your meat without sauce and eat your salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing.

Remember to drink 8 eight-ounce glasses of water, in addition to anything else you might drink. This will keep your body hydrated and help you avoid constipation. You’ll also be able to flush out the by-products created by fat burning.

After couple days you’ll find the Atkins Diet Phase 1 guidelines to be easier to follow. Just respect the rules and you will be on your way of losing the weight you wish to lose.
