Domino Pizza was founded by a man named Tom Monaghan. It all began in 1960 when he and his brother Jacques bought a small pizzeria in Ypsilanti, Michigan named Dominick. A year later, James changed his participation in the restaurant car (a VW Beetle to be precise), and Tom became the sole owner.
