Candidiasis is the scientific name for yeast infection. Yeast is everywhere in our bodies especially in our mouths, abdomen, under arms, nail beds or any part of our body which has skin folds. For females, yeast can usually be located beneath the breasts and the vagina. But if the yeast in our bodies reach more than the standard levels, that’s when yeast infection hits. Yeast infection results in the body to create an excessive amount of yeast and it is triggered by a fungus called Candida Albicans. This fungus loves to thrive in damp regions of our bodies.
