I have been personally advocating people to remain fit by not only following the proper training methods and having the correct attitude. Eating right is also vital for improving your overall health. If you eat junk, you won’t have enough energy that you need for working out. Also, eating healthy keeps you feeling good about yourself.
This is basically a salmon salad sandwich. You don’t need to be very good in working your way in the kitchen. A few kitchen skills will do. You also don’t need to bother yourself finding unfamiliar ingredients since the neighborhood grocery probably has what you will be needing.
Here are the ingredients needed for your sumptuous lunch:
2 6- to 7-ounce cans boneless, skinless wild Alaskan salmon, drained
1/4 cup minced red onion
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
4 tablespoons reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufch
8 slices pumpernickel bread, toasted
8 slices tomato
2 large leaves romaine lettuce, cut in half
How to prepare:
Combine salmon, onion, lemon juice, oil, and pepper in a medium bowl. Then spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese on each 4 slices of the bread. Then, you spread the 1/2 cup salmon salad over the cream cheese. You should top it with 2 tomato slices, and a pair of lettuce, baby romaine is nice…then place the other slice of bread.
Here’s what you get per sandwich – the calories are just 286, 9 grams of fat, 34 mg. of cholesterol and 29 g of carbohydrates – all of these are fairly low and will surely not add extra pounds for you which might make you consider having this more often for a leaner and fitter body.
The decision to eat healthier is yours to make. Time management is key here. Remember, healthy foods aren’t that difficult to whip up. You can even go on a raw food diet if you like.
