Complicated ovarian cyst is not unusual amongst girls of child bearing age. Usually most cysts are 85 % benign during child bearing age but in menopausal stage of ladies, there’s a larger risk of cancer. Cysts are composed from liquid and solid. But some girls may not experience any of these symptoms. More frequently, complex ovarian cyst is discovered during routine checkup. Early consultation and detecting of this condition is required, especially if found on menopausal period, as this may be cancerous.
Diagnosing test for complex ovarian cysts include laparoscopy, laparotomy, pelvic examination, ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, and blood test will also help. These diagnosis tests will determine the size and nature of cyst present.
Treatment for complicated ovarian cysts will depend on the size and sort of cysts. If the cyst is benign, little or no treatment is necessary. Birth control tablets may also be given to stop ovulation and therefore represses ovarian cysts. The tablet also decreases the size of the follicle and of the current cysts. Prolonged use of contraception tablets may cause other health problems. Another treatment is administration of analgesic products prescribed by doctors to address the agony. If cysts are carcenogenic and very large, surgery is then a choice. Natural remedies may also be followed by increasing fiber and water intake, vitamins, herbs and following certain diets.
