Best Tricep Exercises

Hey everybody, welcome to Workout Wednesday! Today I’ll discuss the back of your arm, otherwise known as the Triceps! A couple of key points to focus on when working your triceps are:

1. Always extend your arm all the way straight and contract (squeeze) that muscle with every repetition. 2. Avoid using momentum. Hold the elbows in 1 place as you extend the arms. 3. Relax your shoulders

The 4 Tricep exercises I want to show you are:

1. Kickbacks: Lean forward slightly as if you were skiing, with your elbows back, and slowly extend and bring the weight back to the start position. 2. Lateral Kickbacks: Stand tall, arms out with the palms facing the back of you, bend the arms in and extend to your side. 3. Overhead extensions: Stand tall, both hands on one weight. Drop your chin to your chest and slowly lower the weight behind your head slowly, and then straighten your arms. 4. Dips: Put your hands on a chair, coffee table, or a step and lower your glutes toward the ground until your arms reach a 90 degree angle. Beginners, always keep your knees bent and your feet closer to you.

Summer is coming fast; it’s time to get those arms in great shape for those sleeveless shirts! Please let me know what you guys think in the Comments section below!

Stay tuned for Friday’s blog I have an exciting announcement to make on how you all can train with me here in my hometown, Hermosa Beach, CA!
