After years of automobile insurance, tax and petrol prices growing and my salary not rising with these I decided that enough was enough, that I would sell my car and look for a different means of transport. One option would be to catch the bus, which I would have to walk nearly miles to access the bus stop, or We could treat myself to a bike.
Having not ridden any kind bike for decades and not actually running a bike since I would have been a teenager, I browsed the internet to get ideas of what bike was far better to get. Looking at the the various models of bikes around, I decided a hybrid bike was probably suitable for daily commuting, I’d have looked pretty ridiculous on a BMX bike or dressed in lycra and riding an expensive Road Bike. Hybrid Bikes seemed to be the best of both Mountain Bikes in addition to a Road Bikes: powerful, tough, comfy and quick.
A Hybrid Bike sounded perfect, not only because it was those things that I’ve just mentioned, and also because I was thinking the language “Hybrid Bike” sounded pretty futuristic.
