Dietary Fat: Friend Or Foe?

Eating fat won’t necessarily make you gain body fat. The only time you will gain body fat is if you eat more calories than you burn.

Unfortunately, many weight loss hopefuls do not know how to optimize their fat intake.

Thus, here are some things about dietary fat and body fat that you need to know:

1. Dietary fat starves your fat cells: This happens because dietary fat helps your body divert nutrients away from your fat cells. And if less nutrients are going to your fat cells they are more likely to shrink away. So eat fat to lose fat.

2. Coconut is great for you: Coconut is a great source of animal saturated fat. In fact, coconut can help you produce more testosterone. And more testosterone will translate into more calories burned. You see, testosterone will burn fat and build muscle.

3. Fat can be stored around your organs and in your arteries: You see, most people are only concerned about the fat under their skin because it’s the most visible. However, the fat inside your arteries and around your organs is much more dangerous.

4. A wider variety of fat is better: The more different types of fat you have the better off you will be. You see, just getting in one type of fat is not as good as getting in many types of dietary fat. Your body will be a lot more healthier with variety.

5. Too much omega-3 is bad for you: You see, omega three fats are bad for you when consumed in excess because they can cause heart oxidation. And heart oxidation is not good by any stretch of the imagination. So never take more than one gram here.

6. Eating fat is necessary to produce hormones: And these hormones will make it easier for your body to burn right through fat. Keep in mind that hormones are the most powerful substances in your body. So make sure you eat sufficient fat here.
