Exotic Tea – Unique Savory Selections

it is now easy to obtain a variety of exotic teas from around the world. The most well known varieties of tea are blac, green, white and oolong or blue tea. Due to the introduction of sampler packs, or taster sets, it is now possible for consumers to try before they buy on a selection of teas, usually around six to twelve at a time.

The most common of all teas in Britain is English Breakfast, which is a black tea. Some retailers will offer English Breakfast tea with extra additions such as peach or ginger or an array of exotic varieties. Chai tea is famous for its spicy taste and is from India. Similarly, Darjeeling is an Indian tea which is named after the area in which the leaves are picked. Bergamot flowers give Earl Grey tea a delicate perfumed taste, while Ceylon tea is known for its intense and rich flavour. Ceylon originates in Sri Lanka, which used to be called Ceylon.

White teas have anti-ageing properties, which makes them very popular. There is a vast array of combinations, but the most common flavours are jasmine or peopny, to which other flavours can be added to increase the flavour and complicate the taste.

China and Japan produce some of the highest quality green teas. Their flavours vary hugely and can be sweet or tangy. While oolong tea has less caffeine than back teas, it also helps to metabolize and break down the fats in the body. Exclusive hand tied bouquet teas, and mixtures exclusive to retailers can also be found.

Recently, retailers have begun to offer samplers to their customers. This will usually consist of 4-8 different types of tea in small packets of two to three bags. This gives the customer a chance to try something new. Some retailers may even put together a sampler set based on the customers preferences.

You can even ask some retailers to mix you a completely individualized tea using various components. For example, you may wish to try a green tea with elderflower or peach. These can often be supplied as a sample pack, but may be costly.
