Fast Weight Loss – Fasting For Weight Loss

In my own weight loss journey I have found one method that I have had a lot of success with. With this special, simple method I can easily lose one pound or more in a day. I have used it many times and it has consistently worked like a charm. I want to share my successful method with you, in hope that it may work for you too! I know I can loose four pounds a month by using this weight loss method.

What’s the big secret? It’s simple. You eat normally for 6 days, and then on the 7th day you eat as little as you can and fast. Even eating less on the 7th day can help you lose some if it is significantly less than the quantity you usually eat.

How in the world does this help me lose a pound each week? By depriving myself of enough calories on my fast day, I would burn more calories than I ate and lose weight. For me, this method has worked a ton better than any calorie restricted diet has. Calorie restricted diets may work at first, but they set in motion a weight loss defeating cycle of events. Our bodies are smart, and they will adapt to survive. If you eat less for long enough, your body will eventually adapt and your metabolism will lower. When it does that, you will have to start eating even less every day to lose weight, only to have your body adapt once again. Pretty soon many find themselves eating such little food that they have no energy and eventually give up. However, if you eat normally for 6 days of the week and then restrict yourself calorie wise for one day, the cycle I talked about doesn’t happen, because after the fast day you eat normally again.

The main thing to do is to eat healthy while you are doing this. Fasting for a day will probably produce no lasting results if the next day you eat double what you normally would. Maintain a healthy, junk free diet throughout the week, and drink lots of water, and you can continue to lose. Even better, combine a healthy diet with resistance training and cardio and you have a winning formula.

On your fast day, drinking water is very important. Your fast will go much better if you drink a lot of water throughout the day.

On the fasting day my goal is to eat as little as I can. When I get hunger urges I drink water. If I can’t take it anymore I snack on a piece of fruit, but I never gorge. I usually can go up until the later afternoon until I feel like I have to snack on something. Raw fruit or vegetables are a good choice for a snack on your fasting day. It is important to remember that the less you eat, the more weight you should lose after the day is done. I go 36 hours without eating, so if I stop eating at 8 PM on Saturday, I don’t eat until 8 AM on Monday.

It’s simple really. The less you eat on a fasting day, the more you can lose when the day is done. This simple method has worked for me time and time again. Using it I can lose 4 lbs a month, just from fasting once a week. One day to lose a pound makes the struggle well worth it to me. It isn’t easy for me to fast for 36 hours, but it helps me lose weight, and it also teaches me self control. I hope that this simple strategy works for you too.
