Not necessarily. By eating the right foods you can leave yourself feeling full and satisfied while stimulating you metabolism and hormones to burn body fat. If you are serious about shedding pounds and getting a flat stomach then you cannot afford to ignore these foods. Let’s learn a bit more…

Fat Burning Foods Aren’t What You’d Expect

It wouldn’t surprise me for one moment if you believed that diet, low-calorie, lite and fat-free foods were the way to go when it comes to foods for weight loss. I mean the media and health foods industries spend a lot of money on convincing you then know best. But there foods are actually nothing more than refined junk!

These foods have fewer calories printed on the packet, but the reality is that the use of refined carbohydrates, processed sugars and artificial sweeteners cause your body to store more fat.

These so-called “health” foods are useless for controlling cravings and suppressing appetite. What’s more they send confusing hormonal signals to your body, spiking blood sugar levels (yes even the artificial sweeteners!) and putting you into fat storage mode.

Here are a few points about foods that burn fat, and fat content…

Eating Fat Doesn’t Make You Fat

I’m sure you’ve heard this one before, and thought to yourself: “yeah right”. But it all comes down to the type of fat you eat. Eating the right kinds of fat can actually make you leaner.

You’ll want to stay well clear of they types of fats found in ready meals, processed and junk foods. These things are jam packed with the processed fats that make it impossible for your cells to metabolize calories and ingest nutrients properly.

Unfortunately it is commonplace to think that all fats are detrimental to your health and cause you to gain weight. But those found in natural, wholesome, unprocessed foods are vital to losing flab and maintaining a healthy immune system.

With all of the talk about polyunsaturated, monounsaturated and saturated fats it is hard to know which ones to avoid. But by eating natural and unprocessed you will be getting a natural and balanced dose of all 3. And you will need to be eating all 3 kinds of fat in order to keep those pounds falling off!

I know that it all sounds a bit confusing, but try asking yourself the following questions as you do your grocery shopping. They’ll help you find the fat burning gems.

Fruits, vegetables etc (i.e. any plant based food): “Is it natural, minimally processed and organic? Or has it been chemically altered and heavily processed?”

Meat, fish, dairy, eggs etc (i.e. any animal based foods): “Is it from a free range, wild or grass-fed animal? Or is it from a mass production, controlled farm environment?”

In both cases, fats from natural, free range, organic sources are far healthier than those from man-altered, mass-produced food. Once you get used to asking yourself these questions you’ll find it easy to make healthy food choices and they lbs will start falling off!
