Let there be no doubt about it but that whether you are thin or overweight, you can get yourself into prime from through body building. So now that you know this much, what you also need to know is how to obtain the best results from the time that you put into your workout program. How to get optimal return for any and all effort that you put in.
So the very first thing you need to understand, is the basic biological mechanism by which your body builds added muscle mass in the first place. It’s in fact done by rebuilding damaged tissues and when you work out, you are in fact stressing, and damaging muscle fibers. It’s the same thing with broken bones that are rebuilt stronger where the break occurred.
After you tear and stress muscles during your workouts, your body have a natural response system that goes to work repairing them. However, being that they were damaged; part of this muscle repair system is to build them back bigger and stronger, so they hopefully won’t end up being damaged again. Its nature’s way if insuring your survival, and it’s the same with all mammals.
Now possibly the most common mistake to be avoided, is one that’s commonly made by folks that are new to body building. They in fact “overdo” it and strain their muscles to the point that major damage is done, not only to the muscle fibers, but all too often to connective fibers as well. The end result when this happens is serous pain and a recovery period that can in some instances last weeks.
Now as far as body building and weight training supplements are concerned, there is a huge array of them to select from, but here again knowledge is key. For starters stay away from anabolic steroids completely. They have terrible, long term, irreversible side effects, so they just aren’t worth the risk to your health. Even small doses can cause you serious lifelong problems.
Besides, with the right combination of newer and much safer supplements, you can get pretty much the same results, only without the risk, and just a little more work. Now a good combination might include a supplement to enlarge blood vessels just prior to working out, and then some vitamins, then a good protein powder to insure that your system has what it needs to rebuild.
