It is also believed that gourmet coffee might also benefit the liver. 128,000 adults were part of a study that demonstrated that consuming 1-4 cups of gourmet coffee daily, lowers the risk of developing liver disease by 20% compared to people that drink no coffee at all. Another study that was published by Klatsky in 2006 suggests that coffee contains a compound that may help with the prevention of liver cirrhosis.

Another possible benefit that we can get from consuming coffee is lowered risk of acquiring Parkinson’s disease, one of the most common neurological disorders in the world. Recent studies show that moderate coffee drinkers can lower their risk of developing Parkinson’s by up to 80 percent.

Gourmet coffee beans may cost more than regular beans, but the price that you are going to spend is certainly worth every penny considering the health benefits that you will reap from it.
