Hand and Foot Care

The skin on your hands and feet are very difficult to take care of. Especially if you work a hard and demanding job you will find that your feet suffer from thick hard skin that can become painful, as well as dry, rough cracked skin on your hands. There are very few products on the market today that can offer a good solution to these ailments.

Feet are prone to sweat and smell. Due to this, it is important that you wear all cotton socks to help your feet breathe and reduce an unpleasant buildup of smell. If you are still having problems with sweat and smell try mixing half lemon juice and half water in a large bowl.

Try exfoliating your hands with a mineral oil sugar scrub. Mix some olive oil with sugar and mix into a paste. Massage this in gently for about three minutes and rinse! Follow up with a rose petal moisturizer by mixing 1/3 cup glycerin and 2/3 cup rose water into a bottle and shake until well combined. Apply to hands often and store leftovers in the fridge.

It’s a fact, feet can smell! To help get rid of this foul odor, mix equal parts lemon juice and water into a bowl and soak feet for about 5 minutes and pat dry. This will help clean, deodorize and smooth your feet. Follow up with a deep soothing homemade lotion. Combine 1 teaspoon almond oil, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon wheat germ oil and 12 drops of eucalyptus oil into a small, dark bottle and shake well. Just massage into feet and put on a pair of socks to allow the mixture to soak in!

These are two very good homemade ways to take care of your hands and feet. Remember that proper care of your hands and feet is just as important as caring for your face, so be sure to follow a regular routine!
