HCG Diet Basics: Get To Know Them

Do you know your HCG diet basics? It’s the most popular diet of the moment. You probably know that much. Why is it popular? It’s most telling to decide why it’s not popular. It’s not popular because a gorgeous celebrity endorses it. It’s not popular because it’s easy. It’s not popular because it’s fun.

What is it then? Let’s make a quick comparison. Do you remember that guy in high school that no one really like, but everyone liked him. He wasn’t very likeable. He was kind of obnoxious and rude. But everyone put up with that and liked him anyway because he threw the best parties. And he threw them frequently.

That’s like the HCG diet. You don’t like it because let’s face it…it’s just not likeable. You can’t eat as much as you really want to eat. You can’t eat the things that you feel like eating. It’s not an enjoyable pass time by any means. But it’s popular and it’s for one reason and one reason alone. The HCG diet is effective. It actually results in weight loss.

Here are a few basics of the HCG Diet just so you’ll know what you’re getting into:

1. Calories will be limited. And they will be limited severely. Expect this; don’t be blindsided. 500 calories is a very noticeable limitation. Just remind yourself constantly that it works and stick with it.

2. Lean proteins are the only “meats” you’ll be allowed. All proteins were not created equal. You are only allowed to have the types and cuts of meat that are listed on the approved foods list.

3. Don’t exercise. This is actually a part of the HCG diet. Many don’t have a problem with it, but there are those who are used to exercising regularly. These individuals have a hard time accepting the “no exercise” rule that comes with the HCG diet. The calorie limitation doesn’t leave enough energy to support an exercise program.

4. Portion size limitations are severe. While you’ll realize partway through the diet that your previous understanding of “serving size” was WAY off…in the beginning you will be appalled at just what constitutes a single serving while on the HCG diet. And you’re expected to stick to it. You actually have to measure your foods to make sure that you are not getting “more” or “less” than you are supposed to in any single serving.

That’s about it. You know about the HCG diet. You are now doubly aware that it’s not popular because it’s likeable. Because I know that the HCG diet basics are not likeable. So the only logical conclusion is that they are popular because of some other reason…and until you try it for yourself you’ll just have to trust me. It’s because it works.
