Health Related Gift Ideas

Buying presents and gifts for others often starts as a positive and light hearted experience. It’s a chance to show someone you love how much you love them, how much you know them and how much they mean to you. Why is it then that it almost always turns into a mini war of attrition that quickly turns into what seems like an impossible task?

We have all done it, moved from shop to shop, checked the Internet and asked friends and family “what do you think they will like?” This can lead to some success, but what usually what follows is finding gifts they already have, are an item they have recently bought for themselves or is just a slight variation on something you bought for them last time as you were faced with the same dilemma!

If you are bored of buying the same gifts for your friends and family then it is time to start thinking creatively – one area that could be the answer is the health and fitness market. There are so many books, gadgets and clubs related to health and safety you may wonder why you had never considered such a gift before.

It may not be the first thing you think of when you are considering treating one of your friends but why not gift them a gym membership or if they already have one, a few lessons with a personal trainer. This may seem like some people’s worst nightmare however, gyms aren’t all about tread mills and sweating, some have pools, saunas and Jacuzzis and can be a great place to relax too.

If not a gift that is gym related, why not a gift that is teeth related? An electric toothbrush is what you may be thinking, but why not an actual dental appointment for some cosmetic dentistry? A great gift can be tooth whitening; it’s painless, quick and has instant results. Treatments such as dental implants or teeth straightening may be a little too personal for a gift, but if you know it is something they want why not offer a contribution and offer to go with them for their first consultation?

If you don’t think your friends or loved ones will enjoy a healthy or fitness related gift as extreme as a gym appointment or trip to the dentist but would like to get them something a bit healthy and unusual, then maybe a spa day could be a good place to start. They keep the healthy theme, are relaxing and will help with their well-being, and don’t worry there’s always next year!
