How To Maintain Your Results When Your Schedule Gets Disrupted

Nobody can follow the perfect diet and exercise routine all the time. Life happens and you need to learn how to adjust with minimal damage.

Unfortunately, many people do not know how to adjust.

Thus, here is how to avoid weight gain when you are forced to take time off:

1. Train at least once a week: If you train the right way, you can maintain your muscle mass with one resistance training session per week. Although not optimal, at the very least your metabolism won’t drop that much.

2. Target all your major muscles for the best results: You don’t want to waste any time on smaller muscles. Instead, target all your major muscles for the best results and the best chance to keep the weight off when your routine gets disrupted.

3. Have bigger meals if you can’t eat as frequently: Just make sure your meals never go over six hundred calories. This is the absolute upper limit before what you are eating gets diverted to fat cells. Also, make sure you include lots of vegetables to slow down digestion.

4. Focus on lifting weights: The last thing you want to do is focus on cardio when your schedule gets off-kilter. You see, cardio will do very little for your metabolism. Instead, do a lot of weight lifting for the best results here.

5. Adjust caloric intake: If you are going to have long stretches of inactivity, make sure you adjust caloric intake accordingly. On the days when you are going to be more sedentary, reduce the amount of food you eat.

6. Avoid the temptation to let loose: This is the worst thing you can do. After all, once you let loose you are likely to not only stop exercising, but eat more as well. And this combination will make you gain weight very quickly.
