Natural weight loss methods are becoming more and more prevalent because people are now starting to realize that fad diets simply fall way short of promised results. In addition, many people are now waking up to the dangers of taking weight loss pills and all of the side effects they come along with them.
Advertising experts have done a great job over the past 40 or so years bombarding us with fad diet after fad diet, but people are now waking up to their false promises. Let’s face it, if they all worked, 2/3 of the population wouldn’t still be overweight or obese.
In reality, just look at it with some common sense. How can one expect to keep eating all of the foods that got them fat, and be able to keep that weight off once they go off a diet and start eating all of the same foods again? I battled with this for years until I finally came to my senses.
Fad diets are so tempting because they promise you the world, only to leave you longing for that skinny body that you desire. Has that been your outcome? Most likely, because fad diets don’t work for the long-run! Until you look at weight loss for the long-term, you will always struggle with your weight and be desiring a body that you will never have as long as you are trying to get it by following some fad diet.
With 40 billion dollars being spent each year on health fitness and weight loss, I know people must care about their health, but the problem is that most people are looking in the completely wrong direction. Fad diets are not the answer to weight loss and good health, looking at weight and health in the eyes of proper nutrition is the answer.
What people should be looking at the most is the quality of your health and life as you age. My aim is to be 60 years old and still be enjoying life with my husband and with my kids and grandkids, rather than being confined to to my couch because I am so fat that I get winded just walking out to my car (like some friends that I still know). What lifestyle do you want for yourself?
