There are many things to celebrate when you turn 40. But there are also some things to dislike. Weekly exercise routine involves 30 minute sessions three times a week. Ideally you want to mix it up so you reach all the areas, free weights, kettle bells and body weight will do the job. Just three 30 minute sessions a week where you push yourself hard.

You want full body and compound exercise, for example lunges, pushups, squats, pull downs, pull ups, swings, presses and jumps. This training will ensure your core is kept firm and strong with no need for extra abdominal exercises at all. As the weight drops off you a trim and toned belly will be revealed. Finally a waistline you can be proud of!

In between these sessions are the intense interval cardio workouts that are designed for maximum weight loss. When you are eating make sure you have a good amount of lean protein, good carbs, lots of vegetables and the right type of fat. Eat more meals in the day but at smaller portions and drink a lot of water regularly. Have healthy snacks prepared for when you have the munchies in between meals.
