Have you been having trouble overcoming fear? That’s cool, its normal, and everyone goes through it at some point. Fear is one strongest forces in the world. Sometimes it can get particularly debilitating though, and can hinder you from really accomplishing great things in life. Finding a way to conquer your fears will not only make you healthier, but happier as well.
Now that we’ve established that, here are four tools you can use to squash fear once and for all.
1) Meditation is awesome. Many of you may shun this as new age fluff, but it’s not. If you can take a few minutes everyday to focus on yourself and help to put things in perspective, you’ll not only realize your fears are often unfounded, but you’ll see all aspects of your life improve as well.
2) Break down your fears. Make a list of all of the fears you have in your life. It may be dozens, but they will all break down into 4 or 5 categories, and all of those break down to the fear of uncertainty. Thinking of it as one or a few fears is much easier to tackle than 100.
4) Go out and have fun. Like we said, fear is debilitating. If you can break out of lethargic and destructive patterns to do something fun, it will be a lot easier to take on the problem or uncertainty with fresh eyes – thus making it easier to solve the problem.
4) Talk to a friend. Sometimes we just need to talk things out. Find someone you trust, or preferably has overcome the same uncertainties you’re facing and ask for advice. Put your pride aside and get down to the root of the problem. You’ll be glad you did.
Don’t let fear beat you. You will be so much happier and healthier if you take steps to kick fear to the curb. It also isn’t hard to do. All you have to do is consider the above for tips and you are going to be well on your way to overcoming fear and uncertainty.
