Trying to make it through the homeopathic HCG diet can feel like a real exercise in endurance and survival skills. Successfully completing the program often depends upon the variety of foods that dieters incorporate. Interesting foods and variety at meal time make it that much easier to continue when you feel like quitting. But it’s kind of ironic that variety is helpful considering the strict nature of the plan. There is a very short list of approved foods that dieters cannot veer away from. One thing dieters can access are free HCG diet recipes.
We’ve got some for you today. And they’re quite good. Some scoff at that statement, but we urge you to give them a try before you decide they won’t taste good or give you a feeling of being “full.” The following recipes are great paired with Chicken Marinara (previously released in another part of the free HCG diet recipes series).
Lemon Asparagus
Recipe Ingredients:
1/3 lb. asparagus
lemon, 1, juiced
pepper and salt (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
Rinse your asparagus. Then break off any tough, white bottoms. Cut the asparagus into 1 1/2″ section. All your slices should be at the diagonal. Get a medium sized sauce pan and fill it halfway with water. Boil your water and add the asparagus. Reduce the heat to simmer. Cook for 2 minutes and then drain. Toss the cooked asparagus in a bowl with lemon juice, salt and pepper and cayenne while the asparagus is still hot. Serve it warm or at room temperature…your choice!

Baby Spinach
Ingredients Necessary:
baby spinach, 1/2 bag
a minced garlic clove
4 Tablespoons broth (low sodium or access an HCG broth recipe)
Saute garlic in tablespoon of broth. Add the remaining broth and spinach. Toss until the spinach is covered in the garlic sauce and starts to go soft. Remove from heat before it gets mushy.
