Oftentimes, people drink coffee because it makes them feel energized. However, it was found out that caffeine does give real energy and the body simply feels energized because of the chemical reactions. Energy given by coffee only last for a certain period of time, afterwards, when the chemicals have worn off, the body will start feeling tired and drowsiness will take place.
The caffeine in it also affects the sugar level of the body. This is because not only people who drink it puts sugar in it but caffeine in the coffee also activates the natural sugar in the body giving us the active feeling. Sugar is present in the blood primarily to make the body feel alert and energized.
Changes in one’s sleeping pattern are also another effect of coffee. If one drinks too much coffee with too much sugar and other additives such as flavors and syrups, the body will take some time to use the caffeine and the sugar making the body alert even at night. Drinking hot coffee can cause the body’s temperature to increase making one feel hotter.
Constant drinking of coffee creates dependence to it and the body develops tolerance. Over a period of time, a person will notice that the same dose of coffee doesn’t give the same result and feeling as before. This causes him to increase the intake and eventually leading to addiction.
A coffee addict who wants to kick the habit of drinking it can also experience withdrawal symptoms. A sudden stop of drinking it may give him headaches and can cause him to get irritated and feel tired. To avoid getting addicted to it and caffeine, one must observe moderate intake of coffee and it should only be drank every now and then.
