I was fast asleep when the loud barking of a dog startled me. I heard several footsteps as much more than one individual was stepping away from my front door. It was nonetheless very dark but I got up and walked slowly towards the bedroom window. From there, I glimpsed two shadows scurrying away on the sidewalk, seemingly from my home.
