The Most Important Meal Of The Day Is Breakfasts

We have all heard the old saying that breakfasts are the most important meal of the day, and your Grandma was right. Breakfast, for most of us is the first meal of the day, and mornings are usually the most active time of the day. Whether you have eggs and bacon, or start your day with a healthy recipe, it is important to fuel your body so you have energy to face your day. If you fail to do so, you will find yourself not as alert as if you ate in the morning.

Some people think that skipping breakfast will help them lose weight, or that if they do not have breakfast they can have dessert after dinner. This is a bad habit to get into; breakfast gives us the energy we need to make it through our morning. Many people can admit they have skipped breakfast more than once and when they do they usually do not have a good morning. You can get much more done when eating in the morning.

There are many fast food options for breakfast, some much healthier than others. With so many choices, it is easy just to hit the drive-thru on the way to work. This is certainly not the most economical breakfast and if you choose a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit every morning, it is not the healthiest option either. There are many easy recipes that will let you have breakfast at home and save money and calories.

There are those people that eat the same breakfast every day of the world; I guess they just know what their body needs to get through the morning. For example, some individuals eat oatmeal or yogurt and a glass of milk every day. It is all right to change, however some people just know what they have a taste for.

Some people love weekend breakfasts; gathering in the kitchen on the weekend mornings and prepare a huge breakfast for everyone. Maybe making waffles, bacon and cheese eggs or homemade biscuits, hash browns and country ham is what you like. This may not be the best breakfast for your health, but enjoying the time spent with each other is important too.

Sometimes it is fun to go out to breakfast with friends, but not a fast food breakfast. Try to have breakfast with my friends every couple of months, go to a nice restaurant and splurge; eggs benedicts or eggs Florentine and mimosas. You can get a chance to catch up, and enjoy a meal you do not have to cook.

There are some quick and easy recipes you can give the kids as they head out the door to the school bus; this could be as easy as making peanut butter on toast or buttered toast. Many kids are slow getting ready for school so sitting at the table is not plausible. Taking something in the car and eating on the way may be your best bet.

Whether you choose a carton of yogurt or eggs and bacon, just remember that it is important to choose healthy recipes.. Without breakfasts, you do not have the energy to meet the challenges of the morning, and when you are hungry, it is an awfully long time until lunch.
